Roller Skating

My niece Emma had a roller rink party for her 11th birthday, and 20, maybe 25 years ago, I really enjoyed roller skating, so I was excited to take my girls!  I wouldn't say that I was as good as I was 25 years ago, but I did manage to stay on my feet, (except for one small incident when I first put the skates on) and I think with a little practise I could get back there!

I only had my cell phone, and it was dark in the rink, but I snapped a few pictures anyway, because I just couldn't help but document my girls first time on roller skates!
,

It was also a moustache party!

I know this one is totally blurry, but it's the only action shot I got of Claire, she was a little pro with her vintage fisher price skates with locking front wheels, I think she needs her own pair!

So fun, we definitely need to start having family skate nights!

Cookies

We made a quick day trip home to celebrate Emma's birthday, and the girls were lucky enough while we were there to get to see their Great Grandma and have her teach them to make sugar cookies!

This picture of Claire helping Grandma roll out the cookie dough just melts my heart!  I know what a pain it was to roll out with my little helper holding one side of the rolling pin, but Grandma just smiled and let her help and I'm so happy to have this picture of it!

Making special memories with their Grandma that I know my girls will treasure forever!

Claire

She is so into being my "helper" lately!  All day long she asks what she can do to help me, especially if I'm in the kitchen!

She loves to help with baking-

and she always makes sure Bella has water in her dish-
Such a sweet girl!  I don't know what I'm going to do without her next Fall when she starts preschool!
