Indian Summer

Last week the cool Fall weather gave us a brief reminder of Summer.  The afternoons warmed into the mid-70's and we took full advantage.  This week the it's been dipping below freezing at night, and I can hardly believe that just last week we had such beautful weather.
Luckily I documented it with lots of pictures :)

I'm pretty sure Claire could sit and be pushed in the swing for several hours at a time-

Now she requestes her pusher - "Poosh me Ma", "Poosh me Nanna", "Poosh me Da"
So sweet!

Hannah ran around wild and got out all of her stored up energy from spending the first part of the day sitting in school!

The girls were so excited to have Uncle Andy come visit for a couple days on his drive to Ohio.  Even Claire warmed up to him and would sit on his lap and let him carry her-

Too bad he couldn't stay longer.  We already can't wait till Christmas when he'll be home from Ohio to see us again!  We hope you love your new job Uncle Andy!!

Park pictures

We tried to head out to Kent park for a little Fall picture shoot over the weekend, unfortunately is was cold and crazy windy!

Hannah walked into the side mirror of the car and got a nice little bruise right above her eye-

We managed  a  couple cute pictures anyway.  This one was right after she fell trying to go down the fireman's pole and was sitting hurt on the ground-

We decided maybe it was coat weather and we'd just play instead-

Claire wasn't really in the mood for pictures anyway-

Claire wanted to catch Hannah at the bottom of the slide-

got her!

One more of Hannah in the leaves, because Claire wouldn't cooperate -

Pumpkin Pickin'

We spent the entire afternoon this past Sunday at Bloomsbury Farm, so I have tons of pictures to share!  Despite the cold and crazy wind the girls had a blast and still didn't want to leave at closing time!

The barrel train is always fun, even though Claire was too small to reach the steering wheel!

Claire loved the animals, especially the ducks-

Hannah did awesome pumping water to race rubber ducks down this ramp-

Both girls loved this giant tube slide and ran up the steps over and over to slide again and again-

Claire attempted to bury Hannah in the corn bin-

Hannah rode a barrel horse-

We went with our friends, the Benests, everything is more fun when you have friends to share it with!

The big kids really loved the corn maze.  Hannah kept running ahead and making me worry that she'd get lost, even though we only went through the kids maze!

I've got a couple of expert pumpkin pickers.  They both searched and searched to find a perfect one!

Hannah and her pumpkin-

Claire with her pumpkin - so proud!

We never pass up an opportunity to spend an afternoon together as a family, and going to the pumpkin patch together was so much fun!  I treasure these moments with my girls and hope they'll remember them forever!

Fire Safety

This past week was fire safety week at Hannah's school.  Each day they talked about a different part of fire safety.
To finish off the week their class took a field trip to the local fire station and I got to go along!
The kids had so much fun climbing on all the trucks and seeing the firemen dress up in all their gear.
My favorite part was when the kids got to crawl around in a smoke filled room.  So realistic and scary to be in there!
I loved being able to spend part of the school day with my big girl too!
Although she cried when it was time to leave and wanted to come home early with me which made leaving really hard.  I don't know if I'll be visiting her class again anytime soon!
Check out that cool fireman's hat she made out of paper!

Dress up fun

Matt's cousin get married a couple of weekends ago, and I just love an excuse to get my girls all dressed up pretty. It's so much fun to doll them up!

Claire fell asleep during the ceremony.  She's such an angel.

She slept through all the cheering as the bride and groom left the church.

She woke up and was ready to party by the time we got to the reception.
Her new smile-

My big girl was looking gorgeous and having a blast with her cousins.

Claire loved drinking water out of the fancy glasses, and yes, she dumped a full one all over the pretty table no less than 2 seconds after we sat down.  What can you do?

Yeah, new smile again!  Ready for her to start opening her eyes!

And I love this one of the girls and was so sad it didn't turn out!  Stupid me forgetting to adjust the camera setting before I picked it up and starting snapping away.  I had to include it anyway, would have been so sweet!
