She's drivin' now!

We got Claire a little push car to ride around the neightborhood in. She loves it! She pretty much has a huge grin on her face the whole time she is driving her car, and she gets quite annoyed if we stop pushing for any reason!


Hannah also got a new bike, because she was getting too big for the one she had, and the back tire had gone bald on her old one, so it was a pretty fun night!

Randomness

So we now know that there are four babies in the nest under our deck, you can peek through the crack in the floorboards and see them sitting in their nest waiting to be fed! They're pretty cute and look like they'll soon be ready to learn to fly off on their own! Hannah loves peeking in at them every day, and aside from the momma sitting nearby, usually with a beak filled with worms, waiting for us to leave, she doesn't seem to mind too much.


We got a new umbrella stroller for our trip to the zoo, since our big stroller won't fit in the car with all our luggage and Matt's golf clubs. We went for a little walk this morning before it got too hot and I think Claire was a fan, she didn't make a peep the whole walk! (ignore the snotty nose, poor girl is sick again)

Family Day

With me working weekends and Matt working during the week, we very rarley have a day where we can be off together and just hang out with the girls! We need those days though, and so do the kids, they love having both of us home together! We had one of those rare days the other day and had a blast, we had a picnic in the park (even though it was crazy hot)! The girls both ate great, then played for a bit before we decided ice cream cones sounded better than hot muggy sunshine!

Tropical Sno Initiation

Summer means snow cones, and since the weather was so warm yesterday, we had to take Claire for her first taste of shaved ice! Hannah and I can't get enough of the stuff, she begs to go pretty much every day when the weather is warm, and I tried to talk Matt into buying an entire stand while I was pregnant! That sweet, yummy, ice is all I craved! Claire was an instant fan, the coldness didn't seem to bother her a bit!






Also we saw this morning that there is a nest of baby birds under our deck! There were at least three that we could see peeking out from the ground! They look pretty big, but were sitting quietly waiting for Momma bird to bring them food!
Hannah was so excited to get a peek at them!

Happy Birthday to my little brother!

I remember 23 years ago when you were born, and we got to go to the hospital to visit you and mom! I remember the first time I got to hold you, and how cute and tiny you were!


I remember how shy you were and how I used to hold you and carry you all the time.
You're a great brother and an even better Uncle!
Enjoy your day, you deserve it!

And I still haven't gotten your card into the mail, so don't hold your breath!

Little Green Thumb

Hannah loves to garden, she loves playing in the dirt, and she loves watching her plants grow! She looks forward to planting our flower beds every year, and is always willing to help water them, sometimes too much! We planted mostly seeds, with a few pregrown flowers to make the beds pretty while we wait for all our seeds to sprout and bloom!

Sissy Bear Claire

Is 9 months old today!



I can't believe 9 months has gone by, it seems like only yesterday I was still carrying her around in my belly trying to prepare Hannah for the big change to come to our family!
Claire has definatly been a big change. A fussy baby, we spend most of every day holding, rocking, and carrying Claire around. She rewards us with lots of hugs and love, and even a few open mouth smooches.
9 month check up today!
Claire is 22.5 pounds (95%)
28 and 7/8th inches (90%)
Going to start some allergy medicine a try to see if maybe her nonstop stuffy/runny nose is allergy related.
She is crawling, cruising, and climbing. She is an active girl, always on the move, with no fear of falling she takes off never looking back, trying so hard to do everything she sees her big sister doing!

I can't imagion our lives without her!
