While we were in the Kansas City area we met our friends the Payne family at the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. It's got everything you'd find in a turn of the century family farm.
There were so many fun things there for the girls to do, but the highlight was definitely getting to bottle feed the baby goats. Both girls loved it, and it was so sweet to watch them I took about 200 pictures!
Claire loved the goats, she wasn't nervous around them at all, despite them climbing all over her. When we went into the pen with the adult goats Hannah managed to trip Claire going through the gate, and she got trampled by a couple goats before we could get her back up off the ground, but she never even cried and was still happy to pet them and try to feed them.
She tried to pick this guy up, I think she wanted to bring him home with her!
Pony rides and feeding the fish & ducks were more of their favorites!
Claire started out pretty serious about her horse riding, but by the time she came back around the corral to where we were waiting she had a huge grin on her face!
It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
