Easter fail

This weekend we'd planned to take the girls to the local Easter egg hunt. We woke up to falling SNOW, but didn't see anywhere that the egg hunt had been cancelled.   We bundled up the girls and headed out for the egg hunt, only to find that it had been cancelled and no one was there. Hannah was really disappointed so we decided to run to the grocery store and buy some eggs so the girls could color eggs. As we walked in the grocery store they told us the Easter bunny would be at the back of the store to meet the kids. Hannah was thrilled so we ran to the back of the store and got in line.

Here I am waiting with the girls-

After waiting 30 minutes we found out that the girl who was supposed to dress up at the bunny was allergic to the bunny head.  So she tried to paint her face white and then cut the face part out of the bunny head.  This ruined the bunny head and the ears would no longer stay up.  So after all this waiting they bring out a cardboard cutout of a bunny and tell the kids they can take pictures standing next to it.  How fun is that?
Luckily dealing with disappointment is a good life lesson and Hannah just rolls with the punches.  She took her picture in this cardboard chick, and helped Claire do the same, then she happily went and picked out eggs so we could go home and dye them without another word!
She always makes me so proud!
